Every course has conferences, downloable videos, notes, tasks, exams and more. You can access to the videos everywhere, through Youtube, iTunes and MP4. Once the student gets over succesfully with all the course they will get a "certificate" singed by the professor.
No doubt that Stanford is pointing a new way for the "Open Knowledge" movement.
